An important part of the Fulbright experience is engagement with the host community. The Division of Global Engagement is currently working on implementing volunteer opportunities for U.S. and foreign Fulbright students and scholars.
Classroom Connection
International Fulbrighters can share their culture or aspects of their country in K-12 classrooms. This is a proposed collaboration with the Santa Cruz public school district.

UC Santa Cruz Fulbright alumni can share their experience with UCSC faculty and students who are applying to Fulbright.
National Screening Committee
The Fulbright Program is currently soliciting nominations of U.S. faculty to review Fulbright U.S. Student applications and recommend candidates as semi-finalists to the award sponsors. Faculty members can nominate themselves or a colleague. You can contact the UCSC Fulbright Program Adviser for more information.
