New Staff – Katya Greene

The Division of Global Engagement welcomes Katya Greene to the role of Business and Financial Manager. Greene joins the division with experience in fiscal analysis, budget planning, and policy management.

Greene will serve as a resident expert for business operations by providing financial oversight and guidance to the Assistant Vice Provost and Directors in managing divisional budgets and in providing fiscal analysis and projections.

Her goal is to increase the department’s financial knowledge, maximize efficiency by utilizing electronic platforms, and to promote sustainability. She aims to ensure the division’s compliance with university financial and human resources policies.

Greene enjoys providing assistance to colleagues as well as maintaining and enhancing students’ experience on campus. Ultimately, she aims to assist in creating a cooperative and progressive environment where everyone can realize their academic and professional potential.

Before joining the division of Global Engagement, Greene served as the Budget Analyst at Crown and Merrill Colleges, providing business support by developing and monitoring budget projects and operations. Greene honed her skills in financial administration in the Bay Area where she worked as a corporate tax analyst for domestic and international investment funds.

Greene is an Alumna of the Crown College and earned a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Legal Studies from UC Santa Cruz. Following her education at UC Santa Cruz, she obtained a Masters of Science in Taxation degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
