GlobalConnect is the Division of Global Engagement’s international connections and activities database for managing and showcasing information about the institutions that UC Santa Cruz is engaged with throughout the world, through faculty research, scholarly collaborations, partnership agreements, professional networks, and other related activities.

The campus community can use this database to search and browse connections and institutions, and learn about the partnership agreements, collaborations, networks, and other activities UC Santa Cruz is engaged in throughout the world.

Members of the UC Santa Cruz community are encouraged to submit additions and updates to database information at any time through the Global Connection Summary Form in GlobalConnect.

How does Global Engagement use GlobalConnect?

Global Engagement curates GlobalConnect as a resource for the campus community, to provide a snapshot of UCSC’s global footprint, foster connections among faculty, and incorporate faculty expertise into strategic internationalization planning. 

The division draws on information in GlobalConnect for support in a variety of efforts, including:

  • guiding campus leadership’s international travel
  • planning foreign delegation visits to the UCSC campus
  • developing institutional/regional partnership strategies
  • compiling country/region activity reports

GlobalConnect is the platform through which we continue to develop a campus resource to disseminate information on faculty engaged in international research and initiatives as outlined in our Strategic Plan for Internationalization.
