Global Engagement at UC Santa Cruz partners with institutions worldwide to create opportunities for education professionals to learn from the global community. Each year, we welcome scholars, students and researchers from around to world to our campus. We also aspire to provide staff from UC Santa Cruz opportunities to learn from our global partners through international exchange.

Global Engagement is pleased to announce the UC Santa Cruz Global Staff Exchange Program. This program provides a unique professional development opportunity for staff to learn from the global community through a one-week exchange at one of our partner institutions. The one week exchange is designed to provide staff with the opportunity to share best practices and expertise, network and acquire a more global perspective on university services, administration, and management.

The program is designed to support the professional development of the participating staff. Additionally, participants will:

  • Contribute to our campus efforts to strengthen our institutional relationships
  • Facilitate professional growth
  • Advance international research and scholarship at UC Santa Cruz and our international partners

Institutional Partners

University of Sussex

In early 2019 the Global Staff Exchange Program has spots for two (2) staff to travel to the University of Sussex in England.

As the program continues to expand, exchanges will be offered with other partner institutions.
