Are you interested in research, collaboration, and travel opportunities in Japan? Join the UC Santa Cruz Division of Global Engagement and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) for an information session about fellowship opportunities in Japan. Attend to learn about:

  • Fellowship eligibility
  • Application procedures
  • What life is like as a researcher in Japan

JSPS, the largest research-funding agency in Japan, has hundreds of funding opportunities for research available, including:

  • Social science
  • Humanities
  • STEM
  • Multi-disciplinary fields

Opportunities are available at all Japanese Universities and public research institutions. Eligible individuals include:

  • Ph.D students
  • Postdocs
  • Faculty at junior, mid-career and senior levels

Alumni and staff from JSPS will be present to answer questions about fellowship opportunities and life as a researcher in Japan. There will be a coffee break with light refreshments and a networking session during the event.
