GlobalConnect is an online database for international relations management, designed to capture and showcase information about the institutions that UC Santa Cruz is engaged with throughout the world, through faculty research and scholarly collaborations, partnership agreements, professional networks, and other related activities.

GlobalConnect consists of two parts:

GlobalConnect Publisher

This is where the public searches for information in the database.

The campus community is encouraged to search and browse via the GlobalConnect Publisher to learn more about the partnership agreements, collaborations, networks, and other activities UC Santa Cruz is engaged in throughout the world.

GlobalConnect Portal

This is where members of the campus community submit information for display in the Publisher.

Faculty, staff, and students at UC Santa Cruz are encouraged to submit additions and updates to the Division at any time by logging in to the GlobalConnect Portal with their CruzID and submitting a Global Engagement Activity Summary Form.

How does Global Engagement use GlobalConnect?

GlobalConnect is curated by Global Engagement as a resource for the campus community, to provide a snapshot of UCSC’s global footprint, foster connections among faculty, and incorporate faculty expertise into strategic planning. The division draws from GlobalConnect, for example, to guide campus leadership’s international travel, devise institutional partnership strategies, develop country/region activity reports, and plan foreign delegation visits to the UCSC campus.
