Global Engagement invites you to share your unique cultural perspective in our annual photo contest!
The aim of the contest is to broaden our worldview through the exploration of multiple cultural perspectives as shown through photography and short narrative.
This year’s theme is Cultural Exposure, and there are two categories:
1. Photos from Abroad
2. Photos from the U.S.
Current UCSC students, scholars, faculty and staff as well as alumni are welcome to participate! Click below for contest protocol.
Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on March 24, 2017; click below to enter a submission.
Voting will take place online between April 3-16, 2017; a link to the voting form will be available then.
Prizes will be awarded and winning photographs will be displayed during the International Photo Showcase and Alumni Reception during Alumni Weekend on April 29, 2017. After the Showcase Reception, winning photographs will be displayed in the Global Engagement main office and on our website.
- Each November, the Department of State and the Department of Education celebrates and promotes the benefits of international education and exchange during International Education Week (IEW). Campuses nationwide participate in this annual celebration. This year, UCSC’s Global Engagement has partnered with colleges and offices across campus to provide our community with a wide range of intercultural, international, and globally-themed events during the week of November 13-17, 2017. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your own cultural perspective by sharing with and learning from others. Join us as we honor our campus diversity and promote open-mindedness, cultural exchange, and an environment of inclusion
